Third Sector Awards 2019
Our Director, Liz Pepler, will be a Judge on this year's Third Sector Awards. Liz says, 'I am really looking forward to this. What I love about these awards is that they celebrate and champion a wide range of categories including those elements that are public facing such as campaigns, events etc and the teams that deliver them, and, crucially it seems to me, those teams that make contributions that we know are vital but which are often referred to, for reasons I have never quite fathomed, as 'overheads'. I can't wait to see the entries. Thank you Third Sector for having me.'

The Charity Finance Zombie Apocalypse is coming - Are you ready?
Many years ago, my then Chief Executive, a brilliant man, said to me that there was little point in a risk register as it is always the unknown unknown that gets you in the end. By its very definition we can do little to safeguard against the unknown unknowns. We can, however, name the top 3 zombies we do know are coming for us and get ready to defeat them. Join us for this half day workshop where together we share our concerns and challenge our assumptions safe in the knowledge that we won't be leaving with yet another risk register but we will be leaving with stronger defences and friends to call on when we need them. #buildingfinancialresilience

Not all heroes have capes - Some run charities
Leading a social impact organisation is, without a doubt, one of the best jobs going. It can also be, as we know too well, sometimes rather lonely. This September, we shall be running a 5 week action learning set for people leading social impact organisations in Waltham Forest to build local peer support networks. Spaces are limited to 5 people and the set is open to all charities, social enterprises and community groups no matter how big or small. If you are interested in joining the group, please email email@example.com.
